Does Laser Tattoo Removal Hurt More Than Getting a Tattoo?

We’re not going to lie. We’re not going to tell you that laser tattoo removal is a totally painless and completely comfortable experience. Some have described the sensation as a “rubber band snapping against the skin”. It might be an uncomfortable truth, but it’s the truth never the less. And we’ll do everything we can to minimize any pain or discomfort. In fact, we can make it highly bearable.

The first thing we do to take the sting out of your tattoo removal treatment is apply our high-strength numbing cream. This is our very own formula which we have made especially for us through our compound pharmacist. We apply this cream one hour prior to treatment and it gets the session off to a more comfortable start.

We also use the Koolio Cold Air-Cooling System before, during and after the treatment. This system reduces pain and minimizes the risk of thermal injury by blowing extremely cold air onto the removal area and producing temporary topical analgesic relief. Icepacks are used at all stages as well; they further reduce discomfort and prevent the build-up of any heat.

We will never say that laser tattoo removal is a walk through the park – or a pain free park, to be more precise. But it’s certainly not torture either. Rest assured that we do everything we can to ensure the treatment is as comfortable as it can be.
